Chilly, Lazy Sunday... Cold Weather Wishlist

So I'm waiting for James to get back from Texas (if he wasn't killed by an angry UT fan after the game last night-- Go Mountaineers!)...

I'm sitting still in my PJs, not wanting to get dressed because its so cold in here! I've been thinking about my cold weather wishlist and I thought I'd share it.

Um yes! This is the coat I have been waiting for my entire life. The Belted Wrap Coat from Michael by Michael Kors, its perfection. So classy and timeless, it looks like something Olivia Pope would wear on Scandal.

I am totally digging hunter green this fall like the purse I posted about here.

This Lucca Couture Metallic Icicle Sweater makes me want to drink some spiced punch at a Christmas party! This would look so cute with anything from jeans to a skater skirt and metallic tights.

I am such a sucker for tweed and these Tweed as Can Be booties are a cute, less expected way to wear this fall and winter-y fabric. And a bonus: unlike some booties with flat soles that let you slip and slide, these babies have treaded soles so you can stand up to ice.

I'll have more posts to follow up on what else I want, I'm sure. What do you think so far?

Cheers to the freakin' weekend!

SO I did not post this, but I quit at the Ronald McDonald House- my last day was last Wednesday. The good news is that I got a new job as a marketing representative for a restaurant in my town. I feel a little weird posting the name because it is a chain, and they are really big into marketing- I wouldn't want it to conflict with what I post on here. Its a relatively small chain in the south and here, its Mediterranean food... YUM! I think there are only like 25ish stores open, but its growing.

That rambling paragraph had a purpose though: to say I am exhausted! I worked 8-4 every day this week (8-5 Monday) and park of my job requires me to run food and touch tables during lunch. JEEZY PETE!

BUT, this weekend is the WVU/ TX game in Austin, and James decided to go so I HAVE THE APARMENT TO MYSELF! Usually I wouldn't be so happy about this, but I am so tired and my feet hurt and I just want to relax.

I bought some Healthy Choice meals, a pint of Extreme Moose Tracks and I have some mini bottles of Barefoot Moscato handy (I went to a wedding last weekend). I am going to watch NCIS, New Girl and Scandal to my heart's delight!

I'm happy as a clam...

Heathly Choice Greek Frozen Yogurt in Vanilla Bean... I highly recommend
I got off of work at 4, went to Kroger and don't plan on leaving my apartment for as long as possible!

So I thought I would post something lounge-y related... Have you checked out the Cosmopolitan line for JC Penney? I have! It is so awesome! I am frickin' OBSESSED... (I'm using a lot of all caps statements today and I'm not sure why- bear with me, folks, I'm losing my marbles).

This is my fave loungewear outfit from the (extremely affordable) collection... The caridgan retails for $22 and the harem pants for $18!!

The collection is awesome because it contains the thing that women truely love to buy: lingerie, shoes and purses!

Words cannot describe my obsession with this shoe... I would make love to it if I could. When my next paycheck comes in I might have to buy these in nude and black, and for $37 how could I not?

I am also a totaly smitten kitten for this hunter green bag from the collection. Its only $60, but it looks expensive!

I am now going to kick back and relax!!!

What do you think of the new Cosmo collection for JCP? Any weekend plans more interesting than mine?

My skincare routine

I have a old and new staples that make my pre-makeup routine tick, all of which I've actually gotten at the drug store or stores like Target. These are the products I buy time after time and don't plan on switching up any time soon, I am much more experimental with other products. Here they are:

Face:

St. Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer- This stuff is great! I only use it as a night cream because it doesn't have any SPF, but its amazing. First, it comes in that HUGE container. Mine has lasted me almost a year with my boyfriend using some too. (Some people don't like big open containers because of bacteria... that doesn't bother me, but I do ration it into smaller containers for easier use).

I don't really have many wrinkles, I am only 22 and don't venture into the sun without a sun hat and SPF 1000, but I like to think that I am preventing them. There is one (possible) con, which is the smell. It smells like crushed up leaves- it doesn't bother me, but it isn't my favorite scent.

Body:

Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap- We currently have the Peppermint and Unscented bars and the Eucalyptus and Almond liquid soaps (OBSESSED). All of my life I only used Dove soap until I used my James's Dr. Bronner's last year- he swears by almond. I am a convert, I love them all. They make me feel so clean without all of the nasty chemicals other soaps use, and they have such interesting packaging, a little cult-like though.

Tom's of Maine Natural Deodorant- I can't really go on and on about deodorant, but I can say that I do not use anti-perspirant. Since switching to this type I feel healthier, is that weird? I feel like a little extra sweat is better than actual health complications later in life. Bonus: this stuff smells good too!

Bio-Oil Have you ever tried this stuff? I don't know how well it works on scars/ stretch marks because I don't use it in the same place twice in one day, but this stuff rocks! I use it all over my body, even on my face. I have an oily face, but in the winter when it gets dry in parts, Bio-Oil really does the trick! Like the St. Ives it has a weird, herb-y smell, but its not over powering or gross.

Do you have any staples you can't live without?
